Our Story
The founders of Outside Atlanta began venturing out into the great outdoors as college students while working for the U.S. Department of Agriculture as Forest Service Interns. What started out as hiking on trails in the mountains and fishing in the many hidden rivers and lakes for work, turned into a passion for doing anything pertaining to outdoor recreation. During their stationing in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, they would use their free time to explore the breathtaking environment. Hiking the trails would lead them to picturesque blue springs, water falls and gorges. Drifting along the Hiawassee River in a raft brought them serenity, while horseback riding in the famous Chattooga River bed and white water rafting in the Ocoee Olympic runs gave them a euphoric sense of excitement! They wanted to share these experiences with their family and friends, so they began to invite people up to their cabins on the weekends. Once they were back in Atlanta
they began to plan little trips for themselves and small groups of friends.
After the last white watertrip, they starting thinking that everyone should have the opportunity to see and do the same--the chance to get "Outside" of Atlanta. From there, they started working on ways to make this into a reality... to making Outside Atlanta a reality... and they did! "There are no limits...your Adventure starts here!"
Our Mission
We strive to provide our Adventurers with an exciting and memorable Outside Atlanta experiences. We guarantee the quality of services provided will meet all of the clients' expectations of excitement, serenity, bonding, or celebration. We are dedicated to exposing our Adventurers to recreation in natural environments, awareness of the cultural efforts connected to these environments and their conservation, and to services that will ensure outdoor recreation will sustain the tests of time and change!

We specialize in adventure/extreme sport day excursions and other outdoor activities, such as white water rafting, kayaking, scuba diving, skydiving, hiking, camping, skiing, snowboarding and much, much more! Outside Atlanta offers featured all-inclusive day trips on a monthly basis.
Our modest fees include transportation to and from the event site, personalized catered lunch, and all the expenses of the activity (gratuities included in most adventures)! You couldn't ask for an easier way to plan your next great escape! Customized group events and activities, such as birthdays, quick getaways, company team building, church group outings, and family reunions are also available.
